Stony Creek

Home to the Thimble Islands Bed & Breakfast, the village of Stony Creek is renowned for the enchanting archipelago of tiny islands that hug its shoreline. Its premier coastal setting has made it a magnet for summer visitors for well over a century. Today 23 islands sport homes that range from rustic summer cottages to seaside mansions. Narrated boat tours recounting the history and lore of the Thimbles are popular fare.

The village is also known for its famous pink granite, for which it is named. Thimble Islands Bed & Breakfast sits on the site of the original Stony Creek granite quarry (active during the 19th century), and there is still an active quarry in the area today.
